About Us Living in the Akhirah, Serving in the Dunya
The Akhirah Foundation is a South African-based charitable non-profit organization rooted in Islamic principles and driven by a deep sense of duty to humanity. Our name, “Akhirah”, refers to the afterlife in Islam – a reminder that our deeds in this world carry eternal significance. Inspired by this belief, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, with the intention of seeking the pleasure of Allah ﷻ and building rewards for the Hereafter. Our work is guided by the Qur’anic commandment to give in charity and support those in need – “And whatever you spend in charity, it is for yourselves. Do not spend except seeking the face of Allah...” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:272). Every project we undertake is a step toward leaving behind a legacy of compassion, care, and lasting benefit – a true Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity).

Are We A NGO/NPO?
Yes, Akhirah Foundation is a fully registered non-profit organization in South Africa. We operate transparently, and all donations are used strictly for charitable causes in line with our mission.
Zakat, Sadaqah, or Fidyah
We accept all forms of Islamic charity including Zakat, Sadaqah, Fidyah, and Kaffarah. Our distribution is done with care and in accordance with Islamic guidelines. We also accept general donations that do not fall under these options.
Who do you help — only Muslims?
While our efforts are rooted in Islamic values, we serve all those in need, regardless of religion, race, or background. Compassion knows no boundaries.
